The Care Coordination work group's mission is to promote community wellness by identifying and reducing barriers to promote a healthier lifestyle, with a focus on justice affected individuals.

The Community Health Worker Workgroup aims to train, support, and deploy CHWs (including volunteers interested in becoming CHWs) to identify root causes behind health conditions (i.e. SDOH) that impact communities of untapped potential; build community member capacity to address SDOH; and motivate community members to become Community Champions and create sustainable change.

The Equity Workgroup's mission is to address poverty and implement strategies to combat it. To begin our work, the Equity work group will embark on a path to raise awareness of the gap in life expectancy in OKC-County.

The Faith Based work group seeks to bring all faiths together to leverage resources and partnerships to better serve the community for health and wellness. Churches and places of worship are a foundational aspect of the community and can be used to bring health services and programs to a neighborhood level.

The Health at Work Coalition is a community group of wellness coordinators, employee health nurses, human resources managers, and other business professionals interested in worksite wellness. This work group meets monthly to discuss worksite wellness in Oklahoma County, learn from speakers, collaborate on projects to benefit the business community and network to enhance current wellness programs.

The Mental Health work group focuses on creating a community that values mental health in the same way it values physical health. This group seeks to build awareness and access by providing mental health screenings at public events, Question Persuade Refer suicide prevention trainings, developing social media campaigns, and more.
NUTRITION AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
Funded in part by the Tobacco Settlement and Endowment Trust, the Nutrition & Activity work group partners with schools, businesses, and governments to pass policies that increase access and opportunity for physical activity and healthy food options. In addition to policies, this work group is looking for ways to support policy with programming and services.
TOBACCO USE PREVENTION
Funded in part by the Tobacco Settlement and Endowment Trust, the Tobacco Use Prevention work group partners with schools, businesses, and governments to pass policies that prevent or decrease tobacco use. In 2015, the work group helped the Oklahoma City Housing Authority pass a tobacco-free policy at every site owned by the Authority which includes over 600 units.
